The new Godin elegat is a fusion of ST style and elegat! Godin, a company that knows all about the elegat, has released a new model of electric + nylon strings, the "G-Tour Nylon". The ST-style body design makes it possible to change from electric guitars without any discomfort, and the highly acclaimed EPM piezo pickups and electronics give it a richer acoustic sound than the looks of the guitar might suggest. The body construction, which produces a pleasant nylon sound despite its looks, uses a semi-acoustic body structure with a hollowed-out inside of the body, which is Godin's specialty in combining resonance and feedback control.

This sound gives the output signal a moderate acoustic feel, and is the reason for the pleasant nylon sound. The design of the 6-string flat head, just like an electric guitar, not only looks good, but also allows for quicker string changes than the slotted head used on a regular gut guitar, making this model ideal for those who want to play the soft sound of gut strings with the feel of an electric guitar.
